Have you ever ordered something that looks too good to be gluten free?
We were traveling in New Mexico and spent the night at Grants KOA. It was in the middle of nowhere, so they had a kitchen that provided delivered meals to your RV. They asked us if we wanted to order anything for dinner, when we checked in, and we told them that we were gluten free so we couldn’t take advantage of their offer. They explained that they had gluten free pepperoni pizza, so we ordered one. It was delivered to our RV and when we opened it up it looked too good to be gluten free. Thankfully we had a LEO gluten test kit so we took sample swab swipes from the bottom of the crust and the knife cut. It came back below 5 ppm so we enjoyed a delicious pizza without worrying if we were going to get sick or not. If we hadn’t had a test kit, we would have worried the whole night wondering if we were going to get sick. Peace of mind is so nice. We “Loving Eating Out” again!
